Early departure from Cusco toward the Chonta Andean Community, crossing dramatic canyons and high-Andean ecosystems.

Andean Condor Observation

Extended observation session at Chonta’s natural viewpoint, one of the most reliable places in southern Peru to observe Andean Condors in flight, often at close range.

• Andean Gull
• Mountain Caracara

Community-based tourism

Traditional local lunch and cultural interpretation focused on condor conservation.

After breakfast, we travel to Soraypampa, one of the most scenic high-Andean valleys in southern Peru and an important habitat for endemic and puna bird species.

High-Andean Birding Walk

Interpretive walk focused on endemic species, behavior, and photographic opportunities.

• Junín Canastero
• Puna Thistletail
• Andean Tit-Spinetail
• Tawny Tit-Spinetail
• Giant Hummingbird

Return to Cusco in the afternoon.
